We will do our best to accommodate your choice of preference. However, from time to time and subject to the demand and need at each of our Butterfly Saturday Reading Schools, we will have to ask you to volunteer at a site that is in need of your help.
The principle that the welfare of children and young people must be paramount consideration is at the core of child protection work in the UK. Real Action fully supports this principle. Therefore, everyone connected with Real Action who will come into contact with children must complete and sign this declaration.

All volunteers will be required to complete our forms relating to equal opportunities and provide an up-to-date CV and suitable contact details for us to provide two references.
If you are applying to volunteer in a role which is classed as regulated activity, according to guidance from the Disclosure and Barring Service, you will be required to undertake a DBS Check.
The information which you give when completing this form and subsequent recruitment documents will be used in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 for the following purposes: to enable Real Action to create an electronic and paper record of your application; to enable the application to be processed; to enable the organisation to compile statistics, or to assist other organisations to do so, provided that no statistical information that would identify you as an individual will be published. The information you give will be kept securely, and will be kept no longer than necessary.
